# So you are interested in an Ashford 16 shaft table loom?

With sixteen shafts you can weave a greater variety of intricate and complex patterns and explore creative design freedom. The ideal loom for weavers wanting to push their skills to the next level.

The Ashford 16 shaft table loom's competition is the Louet Jane loom. It is a little heavier but includes stick shuttles a threading hook. It is also a little less expensive than the Louet. A boat shuttle is preferred with this type of loom, so we do not consider the stick shuttles added value.

See our comparison chart featuring these two looms.
