# Tips and Tricks

This is a tip we received from Kate at Ashford regarding the Ashford Jack loom tie-ups

*Regarding the tie-ups - I have all the cords connected to all the shafts on all treadles - so 80 cords. I have the Texsolv pegs on each, at the end of the cord, one hole from the end. Then, when they are needed in the tie-up, I scoot the peg up...*

*When you put the cord into the tie-up, the distance between the lamm and the treadle is between 15-16.5cm, depending on whether it is shaft 1 at the front or shaft 8 at the back, where the treadle is higher.*
