# Electronic Dobby Software

Louët’s electronic dobby was overhauled in 2015-16 and re-designed using modern technology and electronic components. They added a touch screen display, a hard drive and proprietary software to drive your Megado loom.

The electronic dobby needs software to drive your loom. Either you can use the built in software from Louët, or you will need third party software like our Tempo Weave software (click button to learn more)

TempoWeave is a standalone platform made for Windows OS, with a Mac version expected by summer 2026. Its filled with more core features than any other software on the market. It has been written by weavers using modern coding technology. TempoWeave is now 5 years old and a new license gives you all advanced features for 1 year. Advanced features are a subscription based service, renewable annually.

Tempo Weave is weaving design software that helps any weaver from beginner to experienced, design new patterns and develop project information like warp and weft requirements, with ease. We encourage you to take a look at Tempo Weave.

If you wish to learn more about the Louët built in software, know that Louët does not recommend this software is used for designing, only to operate your Megado.
